Use the numbered EAN, UPC, ITF-14, or GS1 barcode rather than a marketing QR code. Keep the full code inside the frame, avoid glare, and move close enough for every bar to look sharp.
A date was read incorrectly
BestBy fills the date in automatically only when a label states it unambiguously; otherwise it shows the candidates it found so you can choose. Either way you can tap the date row to change it before saving. Packs printing a manufacturing date next to an expiry date scan best when both lines are visible and in focus.
Restore a purchase
Open Settings, tap your plan at the top to open BestBy Pro, then tap Restore purchase while signed in to the Apple Account used originally. Subscriptions can be changed or cancelled in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
